The next generation of detectors in particle physics requires highly compact low noise - low power electronics. The proposed project comprises the development of microelectronic circuits, ASICs, and interface boards, PCBs, for highly granular calorimeters. The power consumption and signal integrity of the ASICs will be verified and optimized. The PCBs have to be ultra-thin and need dedicated development. The devices will be examined in high-energy particle beam tests as well as in irradiation facilities in order to assess their radiation hardness.
