Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse

The results of the study manifest the efficiency of combined magnetic-chemical techniques for HM pollution assessment. In the following, the results are briefly summarized: (1) The usefulness of magnetic pre-screening data as a basis for targeting chemical sampling sites is demonstrated and quantified by a suitable new map comparison technique. (2) In Linfen area, effects of pollutant deposition can rapidly be monitored by magnetic measurement of soil, reservoir sediments, and leaf samples, despite difficult boundary conditions. Discrimination of past and present pollution is revealed by soil and reservoir sediments (accumulation of last decades) and leaf samples (last few years, and even seasonal changes. (3) New simple passive samplers were successfully tested at Linfen; results are in agreement with leaf sampling.
