Spin-torque oscillator (STO) is a nanospintronic device generating microwave field in the GHz range. Potential applications of STO in telecommunication are limited by its very weak output power. Synchronization of arrays of STOs, with the aim to increase the microwave power and to reduce the linewidth, remains a challenging task due to strongly nonlinear properties of STOs. In this project we will theoretically study synchronization properties of arrays of spin-torque oscillators based on modern methods of nonlinear dynamics and synchronization theory, with the goal to suggest robust synchronization schemes stably operating within a large range of parameters and disturbances.
