Long-term properties of random dynamics in random systems are strongly dependent on properties of the random energy landscape of the system and in particular their extremes. While this is well understood in the case where the random landscape is given by independent random variables, much less is known in correlated landscapes. In this project we have focused on several variants of two examples, branching Brownian motion and the Gaussian free field. While in the so-called weak-correlation regimes, we have obtained rather complete answers, we will continue to analyze the situation when correlations are strong. We will also study the corresponding dynamics, in particular random walks on the (scale inhomogeneous) Gaussian free field.
