Network-centric view: Resource Planning and Allocation in Wireless Networks with Guarantees and under Uncertainty (C01)

Subproject C1 investigates transitions in the lower layers of wireless networks at the edge of the Internet from a network-centric view. In phases I and II, we studied the allocation of communication resources. In phase III, this perspective is ex-tended to the joint planning and allocation of all important resources, i.e. communication, computing and caching resources, in wireless networks. Our aim is to provide different types of statistical performance guarantees in the lower layers for appli-cations with crucial requirements. In addition, uncertainties due to only partial knowledge about the available resources and network conditions as well as neighbouring communication systems shall be considered.
