Project C05 focuses on all-polymer sensors for qualitative and quantitative molecular analytics in gases and fluids. In the first funding period, two different concepts for resonant sensors were developed, realized and validated. The main goals of the second funding period are the full integration of these into the PlanOS sensor foil (polymer waveguides and substrates, light source, sensor and detector); the functionalization of the sensor surfaces for detection of specific analyte classes or species; and the development of robust methods for data collection and analysis while considering cross-sensitivity effects.
