Project Details
Resonant interferometric optical sensors (C04)
Subject Area
Microsystems
Term
from 2013 to 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 210420491
The topic of this sub-project is the design, fabrication and characterization of integrated asymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometers for molecular analytics. The novel design of the interferometers does not require the definition of a measurement window, which makes them highly compatible with roll-to-roll fabrication techniques. The multiplexing of asymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometers of different characteristics and the integration of sources and detectors will lead to fully integrated systems in polymer foil for the absolute measurement of refractive indices and molecular concentrations.
