Project Details
Multi-targeting and identification of synergistic activities to overcome therapy resistance in ALL (B06)
Subject Area
Hematology, Oncology
Term
from 2012 to 2024
Project identifier

Despite high cure rates, therapy resistance is a major clinical challenge in the treatment of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). This project aims at identifying vulnerabilities and cooperative activities of single compounds and combinations of classical chemotherapeutics and agents targeting different cellular pathways. Pharmaco-profiles will be analyzed in a series of characterized patient-derived xenograft ALL samples established in our NOD/SCID/huALL system. Identified combinations showing synthetic lethality will be further pre-clinically evaluated in phase-II-like studies in our xenograft system.
