The Integrated Research Training Group provides an organizational framework for the Ph.D. candidates during their doctoral studies. At the same time, a multifaceted qualification program fosters technical and interdisciplinary competences. The program consists of annual summer schools, monthly meetings featuring project presentations by individual Ph.D. candidates, and workshops on request. Furthermore, the program includes the writing of research proposals and annual progress reports as well as a peer review process (concerning the latter), the possibility of research stays abroad, a guest scientist program and a personalized “potential check”.
