Within the scope of TP A3, higher hierarchical levels of material systems are assembled with spray granulation in a spouted bed following a warm compaction step. The spouted bed method proved to be very suitable for uniform coating of fine copper or ceramic particles with polymers. As a further production method of these material systems the spray-drying process will be investigated. For the determination of the mechanical properties of the composites, bending test are carried out and their composition and structure are investigated by thermogravimetry, SEM and FIB. In addition, the coating process is and will be modeled and optimized using CFD-DEM. The bending tests will be modeled using the inhouse developed DEM software tool MUSEN to quantify the influence of the composition and the particle shape on the mechanical properties of the composite.
