The work program of this project consists of three packages, two of which address the problem of conservative grid reconstruction for the fully conservative Lagrangean schemes developed to simulate finite amplitude stellar pulsations. In a workpackage conservative rezoning and remapping procedure will be developed in spherical geometry and subsequently be applied to violently unstable stellar models. An extension of the procedure towards a 3D analysis of grid reconstruction is the subject of an other workpackage. The connection between support operator and finite element methods is investigated in a further workpackage in order to make the existing infrastructure of finite element methods available to the support operator approach.
