Project Details
Geometric measuring and testing technologies for Additive Manufacturing (C04)
Subject Area
Metal-Cutting and Abrasive Manufacturing Engineering
Term
from 2011 to 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 61375930
The aim of this sub-project is to achieve the metrological traceability of geometric pore measurements with computed tomography (CT) to increase the relevance of CT for nondestructive testing with regard to process failures. While in a first step this will be achieved for transparent measurement standards using high-resolution optical tomography, the transferability to additively manufactured parts will be ensured by experimental and simulation based investigations. In this way, reliable statements regarding measurement uncertainties are enabled.
