Project Details
4D-Multiphoton intravital microscopy in mouse models of immune cell trafficking (Z01)
Subject Area
Immunology
Term
from 2011 to 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 165054336
Multiphoton intravital microscopy (MP-IVM) allows the study of immune cell trafficking in small animal models at high penetration depth and with great spatial and temporal resolution. We have established a broad variety of mouse models for inflammatory diseases and bacterial infections (biosafety level S2). Further supported by recent software developments and state-of-the-art devices for tissue immobilization, the MP-IVM platform enables researchers to gain deep insight into immune cell functions in development and disease.
