In this project, the component surfaces will be structured with fine particles using a cold spray process to influence the morphology of the component surface and modify its functionality. The basic relationships between the process and material parameters, the obtained morphology and the functional properties of component surfaces will be determined with experiments and FEM simulations. The simulation parameters should be obtained under real process conditions by extending the classical nanoindentation method to the measurement at high temperatures.
