Project D2 develops the technological basis for the astronomical receivers of the CRC. It stretches from the development of components for the improvement of existing instruments - e.g. of powerful Terahertz local oscillators for the upGREAT receiver - to the development of complete new receiver systems like the multi-pixel heterodyne spectrometer CHAI for the CCAT-prime telescope in Chile.
