Mechanism of ferredoxin reductase membrane interaction, and its effect on photosynthetic partitioning (P02)

Subject Area Plant Physiology
Term from 2011 to 2016
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 180879236

Project P2 (Hanke) investigates the organization of energy transduction in chloroplasts with a strong focus on the spatio-temporal dynamics of the major electron carrier enzyme ferre-doxin:NADP(H) oxidoreductase (FNR). To unravel the regulation of these interactions and the response to the dynamic demands of photosynthetic electron transport, the group will (a) analyze the regulatory determinates of FNR localization within chloroplasts in response to environmental stimulate, and (b) follow the evolution of the FNR microcompartmentation by comparing FNR from different species.
DFG Programme Collaborative Research Centres
