Project A01 develops data analysis algorithms for embedded systems. Learning algorithms are to consume resources minimally so that they can be executed by embedded systems. At the same time, they are to reduce the resource consumption of ubiquitous systems. The project investigates all steps of providing information, from gathering data to the evaluation of the benefit through learned models. The project develops algorithms for resource-aware data collection, aggregation of data streams, resource-restricted graphical models, approximation of probabilistic graphical models, and the adjustment of system software such that the resource demand is decreased.
