The transfer project is aimed at the application-oriented conception and development of handling systems for high dynamic and gentle handling of solar cells. Thus new parallel-kinematic structures for handling purpose should be conceptually designed and the functional models of the SFB should be analyzed with respect to their industrial capability. Furthermore, an investigation of currently available gripper technology has to be conducted. The existing technology will be optimized to take the increasing requirements such as the dynamics and the decreasing thickness of solar cells into consideration.
