The purpose of the Integrated Research Training Group is the education of excellent young researchers. In the context of our collaborative research center these PhD students are offered the opportunity to focus on their own area of research while at the same time broadening their knowledge and their training in various other fields of mathematics. When completing their PhDs the young researchers are experts in one area of mathematics and, ideally, able to interact with researchers from many other fields.
