The benefits of invasive computing, especially in respect of the enforcement of application-specific non-functional properties, are demonstrated based on simulation and as FPGA prototypes. For this purpose, invasive multi-tile architectures will be realised, which integrate the various hardware/software components as developed by all projects. Further, x86-based systems are available for the evaluation of concepts, simulation, and functional testing of the software layers. Additionally, Z2 provides support for modelling and simulating power manage-ment techniques, as well as for visualisation, promotion, and preservation of research results.
