The goal of A02 for the third phase is to connect the knowledge about boundary layer chemistry and polymer interface degradation generated within the first two phases, in order to achieve a complete model for the description of surface interactions at HPPMS coatings. The validation and model transfer will be carried out taking into consideration the manufacturing processes of polymers, in which both the deterioration due to adhesion and the electrochemical corrosion of the coating play a role, as well as the examination of polymerization processes in aqueous media.
