Project Details
High Power Pulse Magnetron Sputtering (HPPMS) - Synthesis of Coatings and Process Understanding (A01)
Subject Area
Coating and Surface Technology
Term
from 2010 to 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 138690629
The overall aim in A01 is the validation of the methodology for the knowledge-based designing of industry-relevant coating processes for a specific load collective in plastics processing and the transfer on further coating systems, synthesized by means of pulsed high-performance plasmas on components with a complex geometry. Thus, the empirical approach of the process development and coating selection is overcome. For the coating process design, the findings from the plasma surface model and the mechanical model are gathered in A1. As the central project in the interaction model A01 investigates the mechanisms of adhesive wear and corrosion, depending on the processed plastic.
