Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse

The aim of the project was to study the Sloan digital sky survey (SDSS) redshift survey, to derive the dark matter density field and to identify elements of cosmic web. Complementary we planned to investigate galaxy clustering and the morphology of galaxies within the cosmic web. Both directtions were followed during the period of the project funding with a series of cosmological conclusions concering color-dependent clustering of galaxies, the study of the anisotropy of clustering due to cosmic streaming velocities, the description of clustering in terms of the halo occupation distribution, the signature of baryonic acoustic oscillations in the bias signal, and its use as precise cosmic yardsticks. The post-doc paid by this project, Dr. Sebastian Nuza, was a member of the German Participating Group in the SDSS-consortium during this period. He participated actively in this big collaboration and submitted a first-author paper on galaxy clustering. The analysed data range from SDSS data release 7 to 11. Also, 2MASS data in the local universe were used for stucying the cosmic web. We used simulation data from the Millenium run and from the AIP-multi-dark simulation archive to compare observations and theoretical results and for deriving cosmological consequences.
