Project Details
Non-cellautonomous role of the endoribonuclease ENDU-2/ENDOU/PP11 in tumorigenesis and invasion (A06)
Subject Area
Cell Biology
Term
from 2010 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 89986987
A model for stem cell reprogramming and hyperproliferation by microenvironmental factors was established in C. elegans that additionally allows for studies of migration and invasion of tumor cells from their niche. The endoribonuclease ENDU-2 is sufficient for the induction of germline tumorigenesis and will be studied by a combination of biochemical and genetic experiments in C. elegans and human cell culture.
