This proposal for an extension of project SE-824/11 necessitates an increase in project duration of 6 months. At this time the project can present promising results and requires the extension for the completion of its last work package as well as the documentation and publication of results.A new, fully-conservative, finite-difference discretization for compressible flow has been developed within the project. This method is used to study transonic shock-wave/boundary-layer interaction (SBLI) and control them using adjoint methods. The computation of a sensitivity map for the SBLI is currentlly in preparation, all other work packages have been finished succesfully. With the proposed short extension, the project can be successfully concluded.
