Gauge-theoretical methods have been successfully applied over the past decades in different areas of geometry/topology, most notably in studies of low dimensional manifolds and certain geometric structures (e.g. symplec- tic). Recently higher dimensional gauge theories, which are closely related to Calabi-Yau and exceptional manifolds, also attracted a lot of interest. The project aims to establish connections between different flavours of gauge theory and underlying geometries.
