Superconductivity and ferromagnetism are antagonistic long-range orders. Their competition in hybrid structures is determined by spin-dependent scattering at interfaces. The non-trivial interplay of these phenomena can lead to unusual and surprising transport properties. Thermal transport in superconductor hybrid structures and the coupling of spin and heat transport are highly active international research areas. The goal of this project is the experimental and theoretical investigation of the coupling of spin and heat transport in superconductor-ferromagnet hybrid structures. The results could lead to applications in thermal transport and to a transfer of spincaloritronic concepts to superconductor hybrid structures.
