D. Huster continues the structure-based studies on interactions of regulatory proteins with components of aECM with a particular focus on the interaction of sclerostin and GAG. In addition to determining structural parameters and binding constants, computer modeling will be carried out which focus on docking and the molecular dynamics of the protein / GAG complexes. In addition, the increase of ECM in bone implants will be analyzed. Therefore, aECM will be implanted in animals, and the de novo-synthesized ECM will be characterized by MRI and NMR spectroscopy.
