Project Details
Brain mechanisms of information processing in dialogs (B02)
Subject Area
Human Cognitive and Systems Neuroscience
Term
from 2009 to 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 54371073
Subproject B2 will utilize knowledge about the neural correlates of dialogical interactions to optimally adapt the type and the time of system interventions to the user’s state. Metadialogs will be used to test hypotheses of a companion-system on the intention, motivation, and strategy of a user. The impact of system interventions will be captured multimodally on the basis of neurophysiological (fMRI, EEG), psychophysiological and behavioral parameters. This will yield objective data on the user’s view of the competence of a companion-system. Comparison with results from other empirical projects will lead to a procedure of how to determine domain independent user profiles for human-computer-interaction.
