Final Report Abstract

We have successfully applied angular-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) to unravel details of the electronic structure of the superconductors Ba1-xKxFe2As2. Our experiments provided evidence for a coupling of the electrons in these materials to spin fluctuation. We have also shown that local electronic correlations – although weak – have to be considered for a full quantitative description of the electronic degrees of freedom. Moreover, we have determined the momentum dependence of the superconducting gap for all Fermi surfaces and found different gap values.
