About GEPRIS

GEPRIS: Find DFG-founded projects

Welcome to GEPRIS – Projects funded by the DFG. This information system provides a detailed overview of DFG-funded research projects, covering nearly all DFG funding programmes since the beginning of the 2000s.

How can I use GEPRIS?

GEPRIS can help you find information on DFG-funded research projects using:

  • a simple free text search
  • an advanced search, in which free text is combined with selected filters
  • a systematic filter-based search in the catalogue
You can also use the alphabetical indexes of people and locations to find out which individuals and which institutions, sorted by location, are listed in GEPRIS.

GEPRIS provides compact information on the name and topic of a project, the subject area, the participating research institutions, and the individuals who are or were involved in a project in specific roles. Each project is assigned a unique project number. By quoting this number, it is possible to uniquely reference the project in the funding acknowledgements. Finally, in the project results tab, GEPRIS provides a short abstract of the key findings of completed DFG projects. The results view also includes a list of selected publications connected with the project, with direct links if they are available online.

FAQ

If you have any questions about searching the database or about the content, take a look at the FAQ. Questions are organised by topic:

Citing and linking to GEPRIS

If you would like to link to GEPRIS from your website, or allow visitors to your site to search for all listed projects for your institution (with regularly updated data) with just a click, we can provide custom search queries with a GEPRIS logo or a choice of banners. Please send your request to gepris@dfg.de.

It is also possible to cite the GEPRIS URL in publications. On the details page of a project, person or institution in GEPRIS, only short URLs are displayed. These citation-friendly URLs are suitable for use as references, especially in print publications, but of course in online publications too.
